Industrial Land Agency

The Industrial Land Agency is a public institution supporting industrial investment, established on April 14, 1973, and placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mines to strengthen the industrial fabric and contribute to the economic and social development of Tunisia.

Among the main missions entrusted to AFI, mention should be made of conducting studies related to the demarcation, development, and equipment of industrial, craft, small trades, and service zones, as well as the creation and development of industrial zones equipped with the necessary amenities for the establishment of industrial projects.

AFI aims to ensure sustainable development, promote investment, and develop industrial spaces. Since its establishment in 1973, AFI has completed approximately 114 industrial zones covering a total area of over 3032 hectares, distributed between major urban centers along the coast and inland regions.

These zones have facilitated the establishment of over 5000 businesses operating in various sectors. Among its most significant achievements in the field of Aeronautics and Aerospace Industry are the establishment of an Aeronautical Park in the Industrial Zone of Mghira (Greater Tunis District), the presence of Hutchinson-Tunisia in the Industrial Zone of Sousse, and the Center of Excellence in the Aeronautical Industry Professions (CEMIA) in the industrial zone of Mghira.

Programmed Zones

The agency has programmed the development of a group of industrial zones covering an area of 1334 hectares.

Zones under development

The Industrial Real Estate Agency is working to complete the development works of a group of industrial zones distributed along the coastal strip and regional development areas, covering an area of 310 hectares.

 

Developed Industrial Zones

The agency has completed the development of 100 industrial zones, covering a total area of 3000 hectares. Of these, 53 industrial zones, spanning 2248 hectares, are located along the coastal strip, while the remaining 47, covering 841 hectares, are situated in regional development areas.
